I needed some off-time from sculping, so I decided to spend the noon by designing a card for my figure.
I used PhotoFiltre because I´m no Photoshop-genius and you can do alot of things easier in PhotoFiltre than using Photoshop.
So below is the result of my first ever try to create a custom card:

[Project 1] Addendum
Yesterday I got asked if the Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight is definitly a early ROTJ-version or some part of a different, rejected Line.
I thought this question is answered by my previous posts and as a matter of fact they really answer it, but to make it clear once and for all, I found this early commercial from the ROTJ-Line:

As you can see on the lower left, there is the Luke Skywalker Prototype figure.

[Project 1] Legs nearly finished!
It´s been a while since my last post. But my bachelor requierd my full attention last month. Anyway... As you can see the legs of Luke are nearly finished. I only have to limer them a bit more and that´s it. The legs are not exacly like the original and I think it will be very hard doing the arms like on the pictures of the original, too. So I thought of moving away from doing a reproduction to creating a brand new figure but nothing decided, yet.
So until next time, maybe with pictuers of the torso...

[Coding] C Snake
I decided to fool around a bit with C.
As I´m a beginner in C-programming I thought the best way to learn C and have much fun is programming a game.
So here it is the famous SNAKE written in C.
Instructions are in german and there is a SQLite Database running behind it to save your scores.
Have fun with it...

[Project 1] Here we go!
This morning my "victim-figures" arrived at my mailbox.
It put them into a bucket with water, soap and denture-cleaners (best way to clean your figures in my opinion) and drove to my local fantasy-store to get some Green Stuff and Modelling Tools.
What I´ve done so far is breaking down the figures into the parts that I need and compare them to a high quality photo of the prototype so I can note down, what I have to change on the parts.
Pictures will follow...

[Project 1] My journey begins
Before I begin, most of informations I present you in this post are from this source
Ok like I said in my previous post, I want to do a Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight Prototype Replica.
But as I´m serious with this plan, I don´t gather some random Figures put them in a Magic Box, shake it and say: "I did it!". You know what I mean ;-)
So first thing I have to do is surfing all around the WWW and doing some researches.
The source I posted below is what I call a perfect reference, so here we go:
First of all, my researches teached me wrong with the fact I posted before.
The figure wasn´t meant to be part of a sequal-ROTJ toyline, it was the first sketch of
the ROTJ- Luke Jedi Knight.
I also found a better picture of the back and front of the figure:
I think I said enough about the design in my previous post.
Because of that, we now come to another part of my research.
This is the blueprint design of the figure which gives you a look
into the figure-design-process of that time.
And there is also a coloured version of the front-blueprint.
More informations about the production of Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight you can get
from the source below.
I don´t comment them because they are not so nessesary for my project.
So now we come to my further plans.
I have some sketches of the figure, pictures of the front and back
and informations about the production of this figure.
Now I will search for figures that have similar bodyparts.
After this I will get some cheap copies of these figures, some greenstuff and modelling tools.
My futher steps will be presented in my next post.
So until next time...

[Project 1] Reproducing Early Vintage Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight
This will be my frist project, I document online.
Kenners Vintage Star Wars toyline might be the most interesting toyline ever created.
In this line there are more "holy grails" than in any other I know.
It´s like treasure hunting collecting Vintage Star Wars, and in my opinion that´s what it makes so exciting.
Now, to my project:
People who are a little familiar with Vintage Star Wars might know this guy right here:
Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight, released in 1983 as part of the Return of the Jedi Line.
Fewer collectors know that there were several plans for another Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight design, which would look like this:
Now you think, what the hell, Luke never looked this in the movies?!
Well you´re right, but some sources tell, that Kenner thought about releasing a
line that shows you the heroes after the movies, kind of first thoughts about what
developed into the Expanded Universe.
With this opinion in mind, what would Luke do after ROTJ?
Right, he will develop his Jedi skills and will become like
Obi-Wan and Yoda.
Back in this time Obi-Wan and Yoda were the only Jedi references.
Now compare this unreleased Luke with Obi-Wan Kenner released in 1977 and you will
see, that in Kenners opinion Obi-Wans was the standard for a Jedi master.
After all this informations about this unreleased Luke Jedi Master, my gameplan is
to gather more informations about this prototype and building a Reproduction of it.
Here I am
So here I am.
Welcome to my Blog, around all nerdy stuff.
Here you will find my thoughts about Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Gaming, Coding and many more.
So what else can I say than have fun ?!
