[Project 1] Reproducing Early Vintage Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight
This will be my frist project, I document online.
Kenners Vintage Star Wars toyline might be the most interesting toyline ever created.
In this line there are more "holy grails" than in any other I know.
It´s like treasure hunting collecting Vintage Star Wars, and in my opinion that´s what it makes so exciting.
Now, to my project:
People who are a little familiar with Vintage Star Wars might know this guy right here:
Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight, released in 1983 as part of the Return of the Jedi Line.
Fewer collectors know that there were several plans for another Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight design, which would look like this:
Now you think, what the hell, Luke never looked this in the movies?!
Well you´re right, but some sources tell, that Kenner thought about releasing a
line that shows you the heroes after the movies, kind of first thoughts about what
developed into the Expanded Universe.
With this opinion in mind, what would Luke do after ROTJ?
Right, he will develop his Jedi skills and will become like
Obi-Wan and Yoda.
Back in this time Obi-Wan and Yoda were the only Jedi references.
Now compare this unreleased Luke with Obi-Wan Kenner released in 1977 and you will
see, that in Kenners opinion Obi-Wans was the standard for a Jedi master.
After all this informations about this unreleased Luke Jedi Master, my gameplan is
to gather more informations about this prototype and building a Reproduction of it.
